We are looking at purchasing a side by side. We would love any suggestions or feedback from people that are using them to move livestock in particular. Have you had to keep another motorbike because of limitations in movement when mustering?
What manufacturer/model did you go with and are you happy? Thanks so much.
We love our Honda 1000 ! Very comfortable and you can get places much quicker than many/most other models! Also it’s not belt driven and is quieter than others !
Hello,
i also have a Honda 1000. After 12 months, find it great. It’s quite, powerful, can tow heavy loads easily given its 6 gears and high and low ratio.
Very comfortable, and excellent at moving sheep our cattle. Although quite large it’s still very manoeuvrabile when mustering.

We have a gator petrol. Not very happy with it as it had a few problems within the first year. We do live on a very wet place during winter so it does cope a bit of water. Probably best brand are hondas. Side by sides are great, comfortable and you should be able to muster well. Not as fast as a bike (can’t have everything)
We didn’t keep a bike but it would be handy at time (when things get wet here and maybe drafting animals off a mob: bulls etc)
We are very happy we got one.
I bought a cf moto this year , it is a good unit , it does what I want it to , not as manouvarable as a four wheeler but good enough for stock work but the company and the dealer are letting me down at the moment , it got delivered incomplete and I'm still waiting for parts .
Bought a Polaris 570 sxs for my dad, busted my ankle and used it for a while, found it better then I thought around stock. But 10months ago chasing a bull, I rolled it at a slow speed with the door not closed and no seatbelt, I broke my leg. So only safer if you are safer.
Had a Polaris ranger 1000 was very happy with it mate has a couple of JD he’s been very happy with both mainly doing sheep work plus every other job you can think off much more comfortable than a 4 wheeler and safer
