I assume you mean 'How do I know I am not being ripped off and over paying for my farm inputs' ?? Try putting a sizeable order out to tender with all potential suppliers. Also factor in service.

Calculate your cost of production. You might need to engage with a benchmarking group to help you with calculations. They can be simple but to work it out properly there’s a bit more to it and you should do it over a few years.
