Hi, I was hoping to attend a course this year to improve the productivity and profitability of my farm business as I know I don't spend enough time on the numbers side of the business. With Covid restrictions, this might have to be online now? Does anyone recommend any online courses? Or is online not the best method for this type of training?
Hi, we recommend Farm Owner's Academy Take Control online course. Their online modules are great to work through and has had a really positive impact on our business. You can learn more here about what it is and why we think it's great -> https://farmtable.com.au/take-control-farm-owners/
Hi, Suggest a couple of things. Firstly try Rural Biz Training ( Dubbo ) They currently have online units fully funded by N S W Govt. for upskilling. Nil cost to you. These include a wide variety of Govt. approved units on finance , business etc. and all aspects of farming. If you complete enough of them over time you can end up with a Diploma of Agriculture or Agribusiness Management .... and eventually an Advanced Diploma if you wish... and get credit from there for a Uni. degree if you want. Basically an endless pathway. Beware paid courses with business coaches who are keen to tell you how you can basically become profitable enough to buy up the entire district ( something they haven't done ). Secondly take your tape measure so you can remain 2 mets. from ( Covid 19 restrictions ) the oldest most successful "Cockie" in your area. Have a yarn to him, then go home and read the poem "Middleton's Rousabout" . Look forward to a successful future. Cheers.
