Looking for some ideas on troughing for containment area that others may have constructed using thin (2mm) conveyor belting that is 600mm wide.
The idea will be to keep it up off the ground, or any other method that can prevent/reduce spoilling. We are currently feeding in troughs that are on the ground and find that we are wasting quite a bit of feed.
Thanks.
In the process of building a prototype in line with your suggestion (roughly). U shape frames joined with angle and poly belting screwed on. 400mm wide, with sides 400mm off ground. Will report back on success/failure once we have one in the pen (hopefully later this week).
Trail feeding with Bromar trailer. Will need to use auger for the new design.
